![]() She works well against enemies weak to Blight and who have PROT (Cove, anyone?), and due to the nature of her moveset and how she moves between ranks, she shrugs at the thought of getting moved or shuffled around in the party by enemies.Īs a class, the Shieldbreaker is great. Overall I think the Shieldbreaker DLC is a fine addition to the game that adds even more depth to party compositions and combat. After defeating the nighttime ambush, you're awarded with a Shieldbreaker trinket and some other loot. These cannot be prevented with camping skills, but there are 7 of them in total after defeating all 7 of them, they will never happen again. Her trinkets are locked behind specific nighttime ambushes that trigger when you have a Shieldbreaker in your party when camping. ![]() She can also Blight enemies, de-stealth enemies, and can do an attack that does bonus damage against Marked enemies, making her quite versatile. ![]() As the name implies, she's good at bypassing enemy PROT, and has an ability that removes an enemy Guard buff and prevents that enemy from being guarded for a few turns. For this reason, I generally keep her in the front two ranks, paired with another character who shines in the front two ranks (usually a highwayman or man-at-arms). sarcasmīut for real, the Shieldbreaker is an odd class to use as all but one of her attacks move her one position forward or backward. Her camping skill that lets your party's attacks ignore 15% of enemy PROT is the (only) reason I was able to beat the Brigand 16 Pounder.
